Challenges for the Summer
As we break from Bible Study this summer, the Pastor have given us an assignment; four challenges to do over the summer break

Use the summer to share the gospel (your testimony) with your family:
•Acts 1:8(ESV) - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem (this was at home) and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
•John 4 – The woman Jesus met at the well went and told the whole city about her encounter with Jesus.
•All of us have those in our family who don’t know the Lord.
•We think we have time later to share; we don’t … the end is near our end, their end, the end of the age.
•Don’t worry about having memorized a bunch of scripture.
•Remember you have a testimony (The woman at the well message was “come see a man that told me about me and changed my life”).
•God has done something for you share that.

Read a passage to scripture everyday:
•Joshua 1:8 (KJV) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
•It doesn’t have to be a long passage.
•Try to understand what it mean?
•Don’t be afraid to seek help in understanding it.
•Ask yourself is there something in that passage that you should do?
•Now if you miss a day, don’t drop out. Pick it up the next day and continue.

Choose one person to pray for everyday for an entire week:
•Call them at the end of the week to see how they are doing?
•Job 42:10 (NIV) After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
•You will also be blessed by praying for others.

Final Challenge:
Choose someone to help you stay on track by asking you periodically how you are doing with your summer challenge.
